#hello lovely humans you are cordially invited to (choose any or all) think about come to engage with participate in contribute to co-create tell your friends about …the third space (or for the polish-speaking/deepl-inclined, Świetlica) ##the Idea the idea crystallised when i was reading [an article about the baked goods theory of social interaction](https://www.approachwithalacrity.com/the-baked-goods-theory-of-social-interaction/). the tldr is, you need to have at least one event a week where you can give away a tray of baked goods for your social life to be sustainable. requirements: * 8-30 people * can’t be commercial * must see people on a semi-regular basis and like them at least somewhat * must be in person and this is where świetlica comes in. together with my wonderful housemates, we want to have a space and be a space where people can exist around each other without needing to buy another drink every hour or freeze their butts off or buy tickets or *insert activity* to that end, we will be opening our house to our friends and their friends, and eventually those friends’ friends so that we can all have sustainable social lives (and so that i don’t have to leave my house to get that sweet social interaction) ##the Execution the broad game plan is as follows: * this sunday (and every following sunday, unless otherwise specified) * between noon and 8pm * show up at any point, leave at any point * bring things you want to do / people you want to hang out with. * we guarantee that you will be let in, some space, tea, and use of some board games/electronic equipment. come and we’ll figure out the details * we don’t guarantee… basically anything else come if you want to hang out with people (there will probably be people), or come if you want to be alone around people (there will probably be people, and i can lend you a book). come if you have a new game and no one to play it with (there will probably be people, and our circles skew nerdy), come if… i’m running out of creativity. just come. i have grand ambitions to eventually run (entirely optional) talks/workshops about basic humaning skills (like what do those numbers on lightbulbs mean, or how to invest money) but let’s leave that for phase 2. #for now, i hope to see you sunday :))) potentially crucial information — our house is 5 mins from the tufnell park station, northern line. ask one of the housemates or the person who invited you for the exact address. ~ kaja
